Compact Window Air Conditioners for Europe's Smallest Homes and Narrowest Windows

Three compact specialists on one reduced no-drill chassis: the 5000 BTU model for the tiniest rooms and narrowest openings, the 7000 BTU compact bestseller, and the Small Apartment all-rounder built to be the one machine an entire studio needs.

Europe's cities are full of homes the AC industry forgot: Paris chambres de bonne, Berlin one-window studios, Madrid interior flats, student rooms everywhere — small spaces behind narrow casements that standard chassis simply cannot enter. Our Compact range starts from that constraint: we shrank the housing, the weight and the price, and refused to shrink the sealed-circuit testing, the EU documentation or the warranty. Small home, full engineering.

Narrowest fit in our catalogue Solo-liftable · no-drill kit included EU Energy Label · EPREL 220–240 V/50 Hz EU plug 24-month warranty

The Compact range exists for windows other units fail. Send a photo + two measurements to WhatsApp +86 152 2110 6790 — an engineer confirms fit before you spend anything, usually within hours.

Standard chassis Too wide. Doesn't enter. Reveluz Compact narrow-opening range We shrank the chassis — not the testing, the documents, or the warranty.

What is a compact window air conditioner?

A compact window air conditioner is a reduced-chassis unit engineered for narrow window openings and small rooms — typically 5,000 BTU for 6–10 m² and 7,000 BTU for 8–12 m² — that fits where standard-width units physically cannot. Reveluz Compact models keep the full no-drill clamp-and-seal mounting, solo-liftable weight, 220–240 V EU plug, complete EU documentation and 24-month warranty of the larger range; only the housing dimensions, the weight and the price are smaller.

The design brief, honestly stated

Small Homes Aren't Small Customers. They're Just Ignored Ones.

The homes the industry forgot

Walk any European city and count them: the Paris chambre de bonne under the roof, the Berlin one-window studio, the Madrid interior flat onto a light-well, the student room everywhere. Millions of dwellings — often the hottest, because they're topmost, smallest and worst ventilated — behind windows too narrow for any standard window AC to enter. Their occupants have been offered exactly one product for decades: a floor-eating portable in a room that has no floor to spare. The Compact range is our answer to that absurdity.

The right-size truth

Small rooms also suffer the opposite crime: oversizing. A too-big unit blasts a 9 m² room past setpoint before dehumidifying it, then short-cycles — cold, clammy, noisy, wasteful. 5,000 BTU in a 8 m² room outperforms 12,000 BTU in the same room. Matching capacity to space is not the budget option; it is the correct engineering, which happens to cost less.

What we shrank — and what we refused to

  • Shrank: the chassis. The narrowest compatible-opening range in our catalogue, for casements standard units can't enter.
  • Shrank: the weight. Every Compact model is a genuine solo lift — the whole install is one person, one morning.
  • Shrank: the price. Less material, honest margins — the most affordable door into real fixed cooling we make.
  • Refused: the testing. Same 100% leak, electrical-safety and run tests as the flagship.
  • Refused: the documents. Full CE/RoHS/ErP/EU-label/F-Gas file, EPREL-supported.
  • Refused: the warranty. 24 months written, identical to the largest model we sell.

5000 BTU Compact Window AC — The Smallest Machine We Make, With Nothing Missing

Configuration

ItemRVZ-W5c configurationWhy it's specified this way
Cooling capacity5,000 BTU/h class (≈1.5 kW)Right-sized for 6–10 m² — attic rooms, chambres de bonne, student cells
ChassisNarrowest housing and compatible-opening range in our catalogueBuilt for the casements every standard unit fails; exact min–max on the datasheet chart
WeightLightest in the range — genuine one-person lift onto the railThe entire install is one person, one morning, zero favours owed
CompressorFixed-speed, thermally protected, 3-min restart delaySimplest reliable architecture at the lowest honest price
ModesCool · Fan · Dry · Sleep, with remoteDry matters most in tiny rooms, where one person's presence raises humidity fast
Electrical / refrigerant220–240 V/50 Hz EU plug; R32 class sealed, leak-tested circuitNormal socket; F-Gas documentation with commercial orders
ComplianceCE (LVD+EMC), RoHS, ErP, EU Energy Label, EPREL entryThe smallest unit carries the same full file as the flagship
Warranty24 months writtenIdentical to the largest model we sell — smallness is not a discount on confidence

Price — the lowest ticket to real fixed cooling

Indicative FOB reference: ≈ US$95–115/unit* The W5c is the most affordable machine in our entire catalogue — deliberately. It exists so that a student, a first-jobber in an attic room, or a landlord furnishing ten small lets can buy correct cooling instead of a floor-eating portable compromise. The price includes the complete narrow-fit mounting kit, remote, multilingual manual and the full EU document set; nothing is sold separately afterwards. *Indicative, volume-dependent; binding price on a signed PI within hours.

Real-world effect — the attic room, finally livable

Top floor, sloped ceiling, one narrow window, 38 °C under the roof tiles — the classic worst room in the building. The W5c is the machine that actually enters that window. Sealed in, it pulls the 8 m² space from oven to livable while you unpack the box it came in, then cycles gently: small capacity in a small room means it reaches setpoint and rests, instead of blasting past it into clammy cold. Sleep mode carries the night.
The 5,000 BTU truth: in a tiny room, the small unit isn't the compromise — it's the correct answer the industry never bothered to offer.

Energy — the lightest bill in the catalogue

Small capacity, small room, small numbers. Illustrative night (label values govern): ≈0.46 kW input, a 5-hour evening at roughly half duty after pull-down ≈ 1.1–1.3 kWh ≈ €0.28–0.52 at €0.25–0.40/kWh — the cheapest cool night we sell, night after night. For a student budget, the whole summer's electricity often costs less than one month of the fan-plus-ice-tray theatre it replaces. Label figure and EPREL entry on request before payment.

The living experience

Owners tell small-space stories: "first summer I could actually study up here," "carried it up four floors alone — barely," "my window is 20 years old and narrow; this was the only unit that fit, and Reveluz confirmed it from a photo before I paid." Landlords of student housing report the fleet version: identical narrow windows across ten rooms, one model, one spare-parts box, zero portable-AC casualties at end of term.

Honestly not for you if: the room exceeds ~10 m² or gets full southern roof sun — take the 7000 Compact; an overworked small unit is loud and disappointing, and we'd rather lose the smaller sale than earn that review.

7000 BTU Compact Window AC — Inverter Economics in the Reduced Chassis

Configuration

ItemRVZ-W7c configurationWhy it's specified this way
Cooling capacity7,000 BTU/h class (≈2.0 kW)The classic small European bedroom, 8–12 m², covered properly
ChassisReduced housing on the Compact platform; narrow-opening chart per datasheetFits casements the standard W7 cannot — that's the entire reason it exists
CompressorDC inverter, soft start, 3-min restart protectionModulation where it pays fastest: a bedroom cooled every single summer night
ModesCool · Fan · Dry · Sleep · EcoEco caps input on tariff-peak evenings; Sleep steps down as you drift off
WeightSolo-liftableThe inverter upgrade didn't cost you the one-person install
Electrical / refrigerant220–240 V/50 Hz EU plug; R32 class sealed circuitNormal socket; soft start friendly to old attic wiring
ComplianceCE (LVD+EMC), RoHS, ErP, EU Energy Label, EPREL entryEfficiency claims checkable in a public database, not a brochure
Warranty24 months written; compressor extension negotiable B2BGentler cycling earns longer confidence

Price — the compact sweet spot

Indicative FOB reference: ≈ US$120–140/unit* The W7c sits a modest inverter step above the W5c and repays it exactly where compact buyers live: nightly bedroom use, small budgets, high sensitivity to both noise and bills. It is our compact bestseller for an unromantic reason — it is the correct machine for the most common small room in Europe, at a price the occupant of that room can actually say yes to. *Indicative, volume-dependent; binding on PI. B2B: the volume anchor of most compact-mix containers.

Real-world effect — a small bedroom's whole summer

June: installed alone on a Saturday, narrow casement and all — the fit-check photo took longer than the decision. July: 10 m² bedroom held at 25 °C through a two-week heatwave, the inverter idling so low after pull-down that the streetsound through the sealed panels was louder than the machine. August: Sleep mode every night, Eco through the tariff-peak evenings, and not one 2 a.m. restart clunk — because an idling inverter has nothing to restart.
Small-bedroom dwellers who use it nightly: this is the configuration where the inverter premium repays fastest per euro spent.

Energy — small room, modulated, measured

Illustrative night (label values govern): after pull-down, the W7c holding a sealed 10 m² bedroom commonly idles far below rated input, landing an 8-hour night around 1.4–1.8 kWh ≈ €0.35–0.72 at €0.25–0.40/kWh. Versus fixed-speed cycling in the same room, the nightly gap of ~0.4–0.7 kWh compounds across 90+ nights and every summer you own it — in Germany or Italy, the premium over the W5c typically closes within one to two seasons of nightly use. Label and EPREL data sent before payment; hold the numbers, not us, to account.

The living experience

The reviews read like relief: "the only inverter that fit my 1930s casement," "quiet enough that I forgot which nights it ran," "my meter app finally stopped scaring me in July." A Berlin owner summarised the whole product in one line we should have written ourselves: "small flat, small window, small bill — finally a small machine that isn't a small effort."

Honestly not for you if: the space is an open-plan studio where the bed, desk and kitchenette share air — the W7cs Small Apartment model is tuned for exactly that reach — or usage is a few weekends a year on a strict budget, where the W5c is the rational answer and we'll say so.

Small Apartment Window AC — One Machine for a Whole Studio Life

Configuration

ItemRVZ-W7cs configurationWhy it's specified this way
Cooling capacity7,000 BTU/h class DC inverter, tuned for open-plan reach up to ~14 m²A studio is one continuous air volume — throw and circulation matter as much as BTU
Airflow tuningExtended-throw louvre profile and circulation-biased fan curveCools the bed corner and the desk corner from one window, without a gale at either
Dry+ modeReinforced dehumidification programIn a studio the kitchen is in the bedroom: one pasta pot raises the whole home's humidity — Dry+ collects it
AcousticsNight-leaning fan tuning + Sleep programThe studio sleeper has no door to close against the machine; it must behave like a bedroom unit because it lives in one
WiFiRemote on/off and temperature (offline-first, RED-tested module)Pre-cool the whole home from the metro — the studio's single-room layout makes one command cover everything
Weight / chassisCompact narrow-fit housing, solo-liftableStudios come with narrow windows and no one to help lift; both are design inputs

Warranty24 months written, module and machine togetherOne machine, one promise, in writing

Price — your entire home's climate, one line on the budget

Indicative FOB reference: ≈ US$130–155/unit* Here is the studio dweller's quiet advantage: while house owners price multi-split systems in thousands, your whole home's cooling is one compact unit — bedroom, office, kitchen and living room being, after all, the same four square metres of air. The W7cs prices that totality honestly: a modest step over the W7c for the throw tuning, Dry+ and WiFi that make one machine genuinely suffice. *Indicative, volume-dependent; binding on PI. B2B: the natural hero SKU for city-market retailers and furnished-studio operators.

Real-world effect — a Tuesday in 14 m² of everything

07:30 — Sleep program hands over to morning; the studio is fresh where you dress, breakfast and leave. 17:45 — one tap on the metro; one command pre-cools your entire home, because your entire home is one room. 19:30 — pasta night: the pot fogs a lesser studio for hours; Dry+ pulls the humidity while the inverter holds temperature at your desk three metres away. 23:30 — the machine that cooled your kitchen becomes the bedroom unit it also is, stepping down beside your bed without a restart all night.
Studio dwellers, chambre-de-bonne residents, furnished-let operators: the whole-home machine for whole-room homes.

Energy — a full home conditioned for pocket change

The studio's second quiet advantage: whole-home climate at single-room consumption. Illustrative full day (label values govern): morning freshness + commanded evening pre-cool + Dry+ dinner hour + Sleep night in a sealed ~13 m² studio commonly totals 2.0–2.8 kWh ≈ €0.50–1.12 at €0.25–0.40/kWh — an entire air-conditioned home, all day, for less than the pasta. Compare that line to any house owner's summer bill and smile. Label and EPREL data on request before payment.

The living experience

Studio reviews have a distinct voice — everything is personal because everything is close: "it cools my desk and my bed and it's the same machine and I love it," "Dry+ ended the condensation on my one window," "pre-cooling 'the apartment' means pre-cooling my life." Furnished-let operators add the fleet note: one SKU per studio, one narrow-window fit across a building, WiFi on/off between tenants — the operational simplicity sells the second building.

Honestly not for you if: the "studio" runs past ~14–16 m² or has an L-shaped alcove the airflow can't turn into — step to a 9,000 BTU platform and tell us the layout; or if it's a plain small bedroom with a door, where the W7c does the job for less.

Which Compact Model Do You Need — and 5 Checks Before Ordering

Direct answer: 5,000 BTU (W5c) for 6–10 m² closed rooms, 7,000 BTU (W7c) for 8–12 m² bedrooms used nightly, and the Small Apartment W7cs for open-plan studios up to ~14 m² where one machine must cool everything. In small rooms, resist oversizing: a too-big unit short-cycles into cold, clammy noise — matching capacity to space is the correct engineering, not the budget compromise.

  • 1 · The narrow-window check, first and always. Compact exists for openings standard units fail — measure clear width and height, photograph the casement, and let an engineer confirm against the chart on WhatsApp before any money moves.
  • 2 · Right-size, don't super-size. In 6–12 m², the smaller correct unit beats the bigger wrong one on comfort, humidity, noise and bill — all four at once.
  • 3 · Closed room or open studio? A door changes the answer: closed bedroom → W5c/W7c; one continuous space where kitchen, desk and bed share air → the throw-tuned W7cs.
  • 4 · Nightly or occasional? Nightly use makes the W7c's inverter premium repay within seasons; occasional use makes the W5c the rational buy — we'll run your numbers free either way.
  • 5 · Warranty & support reality. 24 months written on even our smallest machine, reachable engineers, spare-parts path. Small unit, full-size promise — insist on the same from anyone you compare us against.

Answer-first FAQ

Compact Range — Questions, Answered Directly

Will a compact unit fit my narrow window?

The Compact range has the narrowest compatible-opening range in our catalogue — and the only trustworthy answer is a measured one: send a straight-on photo plus clear opening width and height to WhatsApp, and an engineer confirms against the exact min–max chart before you pay anything. This free fit-check exists because "probably fits" is how buyers of every brand end up with returns; we'd rather spend five minutes than earn that review.

Is 5,000 BTU really enough to cool a room?

For a closed 6–10 m² room, yes — and it will outperform an oversized unit there. A too-big machine blasts past setpoint before dehumidifying, then short-cycles: cold, clammy and noisy. The right-sized W5c reaches temperature and rests. Beyond ~10 m², or under full roof sun, step to the 7,000 BTU W7c — we'll tell you which side of the line your room sits on from a photo.

Which compact model for which situation?

Closed room 6–10 m² → W5c. Closed bedroom 8–12 m² used nightly → W7c (the inverter repays nightly use). Open-plan studio up to ~14 m² where one machine must cool bed, desk and kitchenette → W7cs, whose airflow throw, Dry+ mode and WiFi are tuned for exactly that life. The door is the deciding organ: rooms with one get sized normally; rooms that are the home get the studio specialist.

Can I really install it alone?

Yes — every Compact model is a genuine one-person lift, and the full no-drill kit (clamp rail, brackets, sealing panels, foam strips) is in the box. Measure, mount the rail, lift the unit on, seal, plug into a normal 220–240 V socket: most first-timers finish inside an hour. The W5c is the lightest machine we make; carrying it up the stairs is honestly the hardest step.

Is the cheap model cheap on documents too?

No — and this is a deliberate stand: the €-entry W5c carries the same CE, RoHS, ErP, EU Energy Label, EPREL support, F-Gas file and 24-month written warranty as our flagship. Budget tiers are where this industry quietly thins the paperwork; ask any brand you compare us against for the small model's full document file and watch what happens.

What makes the Small Apartment model different from the plain 7000?

Three studio-specific upgrades: extended-throw airflow tuned to reach a whole open-plan space from one window; a reinforced Dry+ program for kitchen-in-the-bedroom humidity; and offline-first WiFi so one command pre-cools your entire home. Same chassis, same 7,000 BTU inverter platform — the difference is that the W7cs is engineered around a room that has to be everything.

How much electricity do compact models use?

The smallest numbers we sell (illustrative; label values govern): W5c ≈ 1.1–1.3 kWh per 5-hour evening; W7c ≈ 1.4–1.8 kWh per 8-hour night; W7cs ≈ 2.0–2.8 kWh per full studio day — roughly €0.28–1.12 at €0.25–0.40/kWh tariffs. Each model's indicative annual consumption is on its EU energy label, verifiable in EPREL, and sent to you before payment.

What are the wholesale and fleet terms for the compact range?

Tiered MOQ from one mixed 20GP trial container across all three configurations; 25–40 day production lead time; FOB Shanghai / CIF main EU ports / DDP negotiable; 30/70 payment with escrow-friendly first orders; spare-parts kit shipped in-container; dedicated fleet terms for student-housing and furnished-let operators standardising one SKU across many identical rooms. How do I verify Reveluz before ordering?

Three free routes: a live video factory audit on WhatsApp (including a one-handed W5c lift onto the rail), independent verification of certificates and EPREL entries, and third-party inspection (SGS/TÜV/BV) at any of our seven QC checkpoints. Registered address, landline and fax are published on this page. We built verification for skeptics — they make the best long-term partners.
